Automate the work you dread

You already use Claude or ChatGPT and want it to take on a task you repeat every week.

Find the recurring work worth handing over, then set up Claude or ChatGPT to draft it for you.

Your project

Pick one task from your own week and set it up to arrive as a draft you check. Every lesson moves that one task forward.

The worked example

Larkfield Supply

A 40-person office-supplies distributor. Its operations lead, Dana, writes a status report for the leadership team every Friday afternoon.

How the course works

By the end, one recurring task from your own work arrives as a draft, and you decide what happens to it.

The course works through four building blocks: skills, connections, schedules and actions. You carry one project through all eight lessons. Each build step has instructions for Claude and for ChatGPT, dated on the day someone checked them. The last lesson maps the same steps to Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.

The four building blocks

Skills
Written instructions the assistant follows every time.
Connections
Access to the email, calendar and files the task reads.
Schedules
A time or an event that starts the task without you.
Actions
What the assistant may do with the result. In this course, it stops at a draft.

Do I need a paid plan?

You can follow most of the course on a free plan. In Claude, skills work on every plan, including Free, once you turn on code execution and file creation. Scheduled tasks need a paid Claude plan. In ChatGPT, the number of scheduled tasks you can keep depends on your plan. OpenAI has not stated clearly which plans can add your own skills, and Emeri is still confirming this for Plus and Pro. Each lesson shows the date its steps were last checked.

Does this work with Gemini or Copilot?

The method does. Lesson 8 maps the four building blocks to Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot. Emeri tests the step-by-step instructions in Claude and ChatGPT only.

Is it safe to connect my email?

Every automation in this course stops at a draft that you check. It never sends, deletes or pays. Lesson 6 explains the main risk: an assistant that reads your private data and untrusted messages, and can also send data out, can be tricked by instructions hidden in those messages. Check your employer’s policy before you connect a work account.

How long does the course take?

Each lesson takes about six minutes to read. The exercises run alongside your normal week. The audit in Lesson 1 takes a week of light note-taking, and the build in Lesson 5 takes an afternoon.
