Make a 55-second creator-style video ad with AI, with every number sourced and no fake customer in it.

Steps for Claude and ChatGPT · Product details checked October 28, 2026

Your project

Pick one product and one free action you want viewers to take. Every lesson adds a piece: the honesty line, the script, the creator, the clips, the screen recording, the edit and the pre-post check.

The worked example

Fernway

A 14-person company with a meal-planning app and a free two-minute pantry check. Its growth lead, Jo, needs a 55-second vertical ad with no studio and a $25 generation budget.

How the course works

By the end, you have a finished vertical video ad, a claim ledger behind every number in it, and a checklist you run before each post.

The course follows the pipeline Emeri uses for its own ads, with each tool named by what it does rather than by vendor. It works with any assistant. The honesty lessons cite the FTC rules on testimonials and the platforms’ AI labels. They are not legal advice.

Script, cast, shoot, cut

Script from sources
A hook with a checked fact, one human beat, the product doing something real, and one ask.
Cast honestly
One consistent creator and one voice. An AI creator demonstrates and never claims experience.
Shoot in pieces
One silent handheld clip per beat, lip-synced to its slice of one voice take, plus a real screen recording.
Cut in code
Word-timed captions, overlays and sound, then a frame check before anyone sees it.

Each lesson moves your project forward

  1. Lesson 1 · 6 min readUGC is a format, not a customerWhat a UGC ad is, and where the honesty line sits: a creator who presents and demonstrates versus a customer who testifies.
  2. Lesson 2 · 6 min readScript from sourcesWrite a short ad script on a fixed spine: a sourced hook, one human beat shown rather than promised, lines written for the mouth, and a claim ledger.
  3. Lesson 3 · 5 min readCast one creatorMake one creator from one reference portrait, edit it into a selfie start frame, and record the script as one voice take chosen by transcript.
  4. Lesson 4 · 6 min readShoot in piecesGenerate one silent handheld clip per beat, cut the voice at its silences, lip-sync each clip, pin b-roll frames, and check every clip on a frame grid.
  5. Lesson 5 · 6 min readRecord the real productScript a phone-sized recording of the real product with test data, keep it at full resolution, and label any result that is not real “Demo”.
  6. Lesson 6 · 6 min readCut in codeTime captions to each word, move them clear of on-screen text, add sourced overlays and sound, and check stills before the full render.
  7. Lesson 7 · 6 min readCheck before you postRun a pre-post check on the final file: claims, AI labels, testimonial words, consent, rights, captions and lips. Then judge hooks on platform data.

Every starter prompt from the course is on one page: the prompt library.

Do I need paid tools?

Lessons 1, 2 and 7 need only an assistant. Lessons 3 and 4 use paid generation for the voice, the creator and the clips; Fernway’s ad spent $19.80 of a $25 cap. Lessons 5 and 6 use free open tools, Playwright, ffmpeg and whisper.cpp, plus a generated music bed. Remotion is free for teams of up to three people, and larger companies need a license.

Can an AI creator say she uses the product?

No. The FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials, 16 CFR Part 465, bars a business from creating a testimonial by someone who does not exist. An AI creator may present, demonstrate and explain the product. Lesson 1 draws that line, and Lesson 7 checks every line of the finished ad against it.

Does it work with my assistant?

Yes. The course names each tool by what it does, not by vendor, and its prompts work in any assistant. The paid pack’s producer skill runs the whole pipeline in an assistant that can run tools. In one that cannot, it writes every prompt and command for you to run.

Can I use a real creator instead?

Yes. A real creator who has used the product can speak from their own experience, with a signed release for their face and voice. Skip the generation steps in Lessons 3 and 4. The script, recording, edit and pre-post check lessons stay the same.

Is this legal advice?

No. The course summarizes the FTC rules and the TikTok, YouTube and Instagram labeling pages, with the date each was read. Ask a lawyer about your own ads before you post them.
